Satutext is a one-woman company that provides translation and interpreting services. I have worked as a freelance translator and interpreter since 1995. After receiving my Master’s degree in 1999 from the University of Tampere (School of Modern Languages and Translation Studies), I was employed for nearly 10 years by my Alma Mater as a teacher of interpreting and translating, in addition to researching my PhD thesis on the specifics of an interpreter-mediated encounter, which is to be completed at a later date.

What I do: I provide translating and interpreting (both simultaneous and consecutive) services in the language combination German-Finnish-German, and translating services from English into Finnish. I use the translation memory tool Trados.

If you would like to request a non-binding offer for a translation job, please submit the necessary details (that is, the length of the source text in words or pages and your desired delivery date) by . As a member of the Finnish Association of Translators and Interpreters, I apply the Association’s terms and conditions for translating and interpreting assignments in my work

If you should have translation or interpreting needs for other languages, I will be happy to give you the contact information of reliable colleagues whose working languages (in addition to Finnish) include Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.
